Rain took a moment for herself and returned to the stream in the pack territory to rest in the water. It was her favorite activity when she was a young cub back in Cambodia. She was in her tiger form, resting her chin on her paws just above the surface. She closed her eyes and reminisced about her childhood.
Rain wondered if she would be better off going back to Cambodia and forgetting she had ever met Ryker. She was excited when she found him because she had hoped that having a mate of her own would be like the stories she was told about true love. But her life was turning into anything but that.
