Ivy:
"You have nothing to be ashamed of, daughter." This is much bigger than any of us could have imagined." She was deep in thought, pacing the floors with her porcelain features crunched up. Her words slipped from her pink lips like she had read my thoughts, and they sat heavily on my chest.
"What do we do?" I asked.
"In truth? I have no idea how to stop this. It has been in motion for so long that it seems impossible to shut down their operations. I see no way past this war, Ivy… and it will, without doubt, be the biggest one yet." She touched my forehead softly, and my eyes closed on their own when the flashes of bloody chaos and burning screams pierced my soul. She showed me the war, showed me what would happen if I couldn't stop it.
"We can't let that happen." My voice cracked.
