How do you defeat heaven's light?
Even as the life was draining from my already limp body, the darkness I had expected to fill my vision was dotted by the blinding light of Crius's constellations and the burning screams of Uriel and Vile as they struggled to free themselves from the burning chains that bound them together.
"That's right, my little muse. Give in." Crius whispered as his grip tightened on my body, on my throat.
"Darkness." the word pierced through my brain.
I could feel the darkness coming closer.
"If you don't let her go, you better kill us both because I'm going to tear you to shreds, you son of a b.i.t.c.h!" Vile roared.
I felt like this had been dragging on for hours, but I knew I had only been fighting for seconds at most.
