CHAPTER SIXTEEN When Luke saw the unknown number come up on his phone, he nearly let it go to voicemail. But something about it piqued his interest. Answering on the last ring, he expected to hear a voice he didn’t recognize. “Hey, bro,” said his younger brother, Tristan. Luke nearly dropped his phone. “Tristan?” “Yeah. It’s me.” Luke got up from his office chair, glad that he was alone in the apartment right then. He didn’t need Jocelyn asking him why he was pacing around the apartment. Which he was definitely already doing. “It’s been a while,” said Luke. “How long has it been? I’ve lost track.” Although Luke had recognized his brother’s voice, Tristan still sounded different. Then again, it’d been a good ten years since they’d spoken. “Where are you right now?” said Luke. “Oh,
