I went half the way by car and the other half by running in Max’s form. That way I could save energy for the battle and approach the surroundings of my pack without making any noise at the same time.
I hated to leave my mate behind, but I knew she would be safe and sound in the pack castle. I didn’t want her to face any risk, ever, but especially not now that Hope was still a very young wolf and still didn’t know how to protect herself.
