Chapter 43 Unknown Fate (Maya’s POV) The breeze was soft today, warm for a Paris afternoon in early spring. I held Jamie’s tiny hand as we walked along the Seine, the late sun stretching long shadows across the cobblestone walkway. The river sparkled, reflecting the sky like a mirror.
