Game of Deception
(Maya’s POV)
The morning air around the stadium buzzed with energy. Crowds were already filling the seats, waving flags and laughing as music played over the loudspeakers. The banner hanging over the main entrance read “Charity Match for Hope – Benefiting the Children’s Cancer Foundation.”
I adjusted the strap of my medical bag and headed toward the staff entrance of the ‘Paris Football Club’ —the official team I’d been working with since returning to Paris.
