You Reap What You Sow
(Maya’s POV)
I was just finishing my tea when I heard the banging on my front door.
Three heavy, rapid knocks. Followed by a pause. Then again, louder, angrier.
My spine stiffened.
I already knew who it was.
I walked slowly to the door, gripping the handle tightly before pulling it open.
There she stood. Jessica. Disheveled, fuming, her eyes blazing with tears and rage. Her makeup was smudged, hair tossed, like she hadn’t slept in days. Her chest heaved with every breath.
“You,” she hissed, jabbing a finger toward me. “You ruined everything!”
