“How are you feeling, Sammy?” I sat next to my son on the sofa and messed his hair that needed a haircut. I loved hearing his little voice, giggling with happiness.
We were already back home, and I was happy to see him recovering well.
My son was a fighter, and I was so proud of him, being strong for the operation.
“I’m OK, Daddy. Can you read to me the letter that Mommy wrote to me again, please” he looked up at me with a big smile on his face. He looked even cuter with one of his front teeth missing.
I have been reading the letter from his mother every day since he first heard it. I had never seen him so happy. The letter had indeed helped him get stronger and restored his faith that one day his mother would come back to him. I had to thank her for that little j
