GETTING outside for fresh air was a welcome relief. The only time Kai had been outside since coming to stay with Ian had been leaving a building to get in a car, a car driving somewhere, then leaving a car to go into another building.
Walking down the city sidewalks, while a new experience, wasn't as intimidating as he first feared. The building doorman, Mr. Preston, pointed Kai to the dog park to walk Silph.
Kai made sure to keep an eye on where he was and where he was going. He didn't want to get lost, but walking to the dog park was very easy.
A small victory.
Once there, he was able to let the small Yorkie off the leash as she raced around to sniff at every tree and bush. Even though it was green and lush, it still had a city vibe.
