BY THE TIME they made the final approach on the cabin, the sun was starting to set. The sky to the west was filled with pastels and the shadows grew longer. It wasn't completely dark yet, but visibility was poor.
Ian leaned out as the helicopter circled, the bright spotlight scanning the grounds. There was no wood fire burning, no low glow of lights from inside the house.
