As they fell, he recognized her face. She was the pack’s omega, Cora. While James managed to steady himself, Cora was knocked to the floor due to his speed. Ignoring her, he continued running until he heard her scream.

What caught his attention was steam rising off of the water, she had been carrying boiling hot water, and it had spilled over her hand.
