Elisabeth was frozen in place, her breath coming out in slow, shallow puffs.
"What scared you so much?" Aloha Vador's deep voice cut through the silence like a double edged knife. Elisabeth cautiously leaned back and away from his embrace. Her flushed cheeks were hidden under her hair. She didn't look up.
"It was a bad dream." She meekly answered. She saw light flooding in from the hallway and sighed. Light is good, she liked the way light ate up darkness.
Alpha Vador stared at Elisabeth's pale face and then poured a glass of water for her, "Have some water."
Alpha Vador's face was barely visible to her. She took the glass and gulped it down. Other than the sound of clock ticking there was nothing else. Elisabeth clutched the bedsheet under her and waited.
