Jesse got to the safe house Cam had set up and was pissed off. She was driving a car that wasn’t hers and it was a piece of s**t. She had a backpack full of clothes and her laptop because she was going to be here for days on end. She was playing bodyguard to Doctor Torben Haugen, and it was the last thing she wanted to do.
She got to the door and was greeted by Gideon who just pushed past her, “you’re late.”
“Screw you. I don’t want to be here. Take it up with my boss who kept me for an extra long debrief.” She called out to his retreating back as he stomped down the drive. She walked into the living area and saw Cam sitting talking to Torben. “Kids’ safe.”
