My mouth drops open in disbelief.
"Y-you're alive?" I stutter, tears already filling my eyes.
"Of course, we're alive." my father snaps, "Do you really think that we'd kill ourselves?"
"It looked like it," I gasp, "You drove off a f*****g bridge."
They both shrug, looking bored, "We had to make it look believable."
Alex is silent through all of this. I had forgotten that he knew nothing of this. His eyes meet mine with a questioning glare. I sent him a look and he glances back down to the ground. I didn't want to speak of this to him...to anyone. I was completely embarrassed. My own parents didn't love me enough to keep me.
