DAMIEN’S POV
I couldn’t help but beam with pride at the way Scarlet had handled herself during dinner and that lousy confrontation. She definitely managed to put Dan in his place without me even intervening, I chose to intervene because I knew that had I, not Dan would have gone on and ruined the whole evening by getting himself killed by pregnant Scarlet.
However, I was still very glad and relieved that the whole evening went on without any major glitches. After the guests left Scarlet and I went to our room to relax and I massaged her feet a little bit. She was being very lazy but I wasn’t complaining because I enjoyed taking care of her and I knew this was the only chance I had to do that.
