Chapter 5

I went to meet my father as he held an immediate meeting in his office. I also called my future beta Jonathan as I feel it is important. As I reached the office room every important ranked member of my pack were there, including two of our allies Alphas.

"Dad, what happened... why there is a sudden meeting..." I asked with anticipation.

"Ty sit here. Everyone except Alpha's and their Beta's please go and wait outside..."

He told everyone.

Everyone left except the two Alpha's and their betas then us. My Dad's face got more serious.

"There has been another attack on the northeast region. That pack strength was less, so the rogues could easily take them down. The high-rank peoples are killed and the other wolves are either kept hostage or being trained to join their army..." He stopped and looked at us.

"The situation is getting real serious here. We don't know how much strength they have as they split into groups and attacks small packs and increase their size." Dad said.

"Alpha Trevor, But they did not attack any stronger pack like us in recent times... They must not be that stronger as we think..." Blue moon Alpha told.

I too think so.. but we need to be cautious just in case..." Alpha Jacob said.

I took the map and stood in front of them.

"They did not attack us, because they know we strong three are allies...and they must be waiting for a chance to take one by one down... I think they are attacking the small packs to not only strengthen their army but also cover our territory from all angles... I mean the previous one was southeast, and before was west side ... I think next attack will be on Northwest region or south-west region... "

I showed them marking all the small packs as if it was a pattern. Dad was smirking at my hypothesis and he nodded at me.

"I think you're right Ty...Only a few more small packs are left...and our three territories will be inside their trap ...and they must be planning to attack from every side when we least expect it..." Dad agreed to my assumption.

"Anyways we must be alert and maybe they will start with the weakest pack with...so no offence, but Alpha Nathan, your blue moon pack seems to be their next target once they finish with the small packs.." I told him.

"Hm...Okay, we should attack them first, I mean we must not give them the time to take us down one by one..." Alpha Nathan said.

"But it is not easy, as The rouge King is very cunning... they don't have any territory... or a proper pack...and we don't know their strength most importantly... so attacking them before knowing their strength will not be a wise idea. I think we should train our pack hard and sharpen our weapons till there is any progress...And everybody must keep your mates and cubs safe as they often use them against us..."

I stated and they all nodded.

"Then the meeting is officially over now...Alpha Nathan and Alpha Jacob, don't forget about tomorrow night's ceremony...I hope Ty could find his mate too..."

I sighed with frustration.

"No, dad...I don't need a mate... I will be glad if I don't find one, as they will be our weakness to used by the enemy..."

"Ty, the mate bond is sacred...once you feel your mate, you will understand its strength..." he stated.

I know there is no use in arguing with him. So I kept silent and we ended the meeting. I called Jonathan to my study area.

"Jone, From tomorrow we will be the one's responsible for our packs safety...I want you to arrange our men into the borders, not only ours but the other two packs border too. I will inform Alpha Nathan and Alpha Jacob. As tomorrow is the ceremony, that time maybe we can expect an attack. Just in case, we all should be prepared."

"Yes Ty, I will do that...Hey, where were you after the game.." He asked. He is my best buddy.

"I went for a run in the woods, but I was distracted by a human, and I helped her to get back home."

As the words came out of my mouth, his expression changed as if he heard something funny.

"What..." I got irritated.

"Nothing. The Great Tylor Huntsman, who despises humans...no no...weaklings...helped one today.."

"Jonathan...what is so funny... I don't date humans, but it does not mean that I will not help them..."

He chuckled at this..."Tell me who that lucky human was...?? is she from our school...?? Do I know her...??" he started digging into my head.

"Stop it Jone...she is a nobody...that's it, I am going to bed...you must do the job I gave on time alright...See you tomorrow my future Beta..."

"Sure Alpha...See you..." He replied with a smug and left.

I went to bed, but that blue-eyed girl...Sasha...Her face came to my mind...

Why was she crying...??

What happened to her...??

Did Jax hurt her...?? That son of a...

Wait...why am I getting frustrated now that is also for a nobody...Hm...

I got enough problems to take care of...Not interested in any kind of drama...

Before I slept, I prayed to the moon goddess,

"Tomorrow I am going to be the Alpha of this pack with your blessings, but I don't want a mate...even if you're going to show my mate tomorrow... let my mate be the strongest female... otherwise don't give me any mate ..please..."

I prayed and then slept.

The next day I was awake early. My mom Amanda came to me with my favourite cake and wished me.

"Son, today you're going to take the greatest responsibility of our pack and you may find your mate..." She said while looking at my change of expression.

"I know you don't wish for one...but it doesn't work that way... once you feel the power of mate bond, you will change...I am sure..."

"Mom... it's my birthday after all...don't start these irritating topics in the early morning itself..."

"hm ...fine...enjoy your day... Aren't you going to school..."

"Nope, I have a few things to do here with Jonathan. I will inform the school... And even if I go I will be distracted with the thoughts of the ceremony..."

"Well, then you carryon...if you need me you know where to find..."

I nodded at her. My mom is a pretty cool person, even though she is born as a female alpha then to be this pack's Luna. At the same time my Dad just the opposite character. But when he is with mom he will be like a lovesick puppy. They are so in love with each other... And this makes me think to find my mate, but what if she is a weakling, if she can't protect herself then how she could protect the pack...

When I was lost in thoughts, I got a birthday message from an unknown number,

"Happy Birthday Tylor...thanks for the help yesterday..."

My heartbeat raced just by thinking of the person who sent this message. Where she found my number...I thought.

Even I was happy to see her message, I did not reply to her. And get back to my business.

And soon the time went by. My pack was filled with our guests and finally, it was ceremony time. At the stage, my father, mom and his beta stood and invited me to the stage... Everybody was happy and my dad finally announced me as the alpha of the Blood moon Pack, the strongest pack in the world... I could feel the power hovering over me and I was very proud and happy. The pack members bowed at me and cheered for me.

Then Jonathan was announced as the pack's Beta... Then we hugged each other and we vowed to serve the pack with our blood and strength...

Mom was curious whether I found my mate or not. But I could not find my mate, as well as Jonathan. He was sad, whereas I was happy. We headed towards the feast then Esther came to me and hugged me with happiness as I did not find my mate.

"Baby I am glad that you did not find your mate..." She cooed.

"Esther, it is alpha for you in public...until you have any progress in your position in my life..." I told her.

Yes...I agree that I consider her as my luna, but it doesn't mean she can try to treat me as her lover to the public. I am the alpha now, and my actions should be more clear. Until I accept her as my Luna, she still has to be in her position.

Her face was pale with embarrassment as I said it to her. Then I headed towards Jonathan and he told me that there was an attempt to break into Nathan's territory, but it was saved well. As the rogues noticed we were prepared, they backed off.

My Dad came to me and said with pride,

"You proved to us that you will be the best Alpha this pack ever had by your supervision...We are proud of you my son... "

He hugged me tight, and that was the best moment of my life.

My pack comes first and the rest can wait...
