Laz drives us to a spot where we liked to go to whenever we had finished our jobs. We get a table and buy the meat we want to braai. The place has a fire burning the whole day outside, and now it was perfect. Laz and I take charge of cooking the meat, while Rhine and Hanika sit at our table drinking some beer.
I breathe in the night air, so happy that I am back on earth again.
Zulan moves around in my pocket, not happy that I had to hide him in there since he can’t be seen by humans.
“You need to sit still in there,” I whisper to him as he moves around. He settles, but I know he will move again. He wants to see the world around him since he’s from another planet.
Laz and I finish preparing the meat, and then we take it to the table where we eat, and enjoy the night
