"What is it?" Evaline finally questioned after she tried to keep the silence for almost two minutes.
It was evident she missed what I saw.
Instead of breaking the silence, I pointed my finger in the direction where I saw the movement behind the tree.
Evaline shifted slightly in my direction to get a better look at the tree. With her squinted eyes she tried her best to find something.
"I do not see anything."
"I think someone is outside," I whispered, not taking my eyes away from the spot, "I think I should alert the others."
Before I could go Evaline grabbed my arm, "Our voices can not go outside the cabin and no one can see the lights in here. I think you were overthinking. If someone was there they would not have stayed silent until now."
