"Please do not touch that," I repeated when I caught Carter looking at a bright purple flower with curiosity. I did not know much about the plants of the dark forest but I knew one thing, bright and beautiful only meant danger here.
I had to keep reminding all three of them about the dangers lurking in the forest.
"I was not going to touch it," Carter explained, taking two steps away from the flower, not making eye contact like a kid being caught.
We were almost near our destination. I was not sure if the pendant would be able to guide us but I closed my eyes and thought about the destination hoping for the best. I knew we were not leaving the forest which only meant we were on the right path or that's what I was thinking.
