Joaquin didn’t know what to think or feel at that moment. He has a fond moment with his father and his sisters and it was something that could have made him hold onto the thought that he was a wanted child, that somehow, even when he wasn’t there, his father loved him. He stood there for minutes, just watching that memory until his father tucked him into his bed and his sisters kissed the top of his head before leaving.
