When Joaquin came back, he gave Shanaia the water and let her drink all of it. Once she was a bit okay, then they went back to the park and sat on one of the benches.
“Are you okay?” he asked.
“Yeah. My stomach was just not used to this world’s food,” she replied.
“Sorry,”
Shanaia looked at Joaquin as he apologized.
“No, it's okay. I wanted to try them anyway,” she assured him, smiling at him.
Joaquin sighed and sat next to her.
“I think I just messed up our first date,” he said.
Shanaia smiled and then she hugged his arm.
“You didn’t mess up anything. You have taken me to a place that truly amazed me and I am glad I was able to experience this kind of thing with my mate,” she told him.
