Joaquin looked at Shanaia confused by what she meant. He continued to look at her, observing her, but she continued to look at him blankly. He called out to her but still unresponsive.
Joaquin then reached out for her hand and touched it. But as soon as he touched it, he felt like he was electrified that he withdrew his hand. His eyes widened in shock and worry; worried that something might be happening to the woman he is in love with.
He then stood up and rushed to her side. He crouched beside her and he cupped her face.
“Shanaia, can you hear me? My love?” he called for her.
She still had that blank look on her face while her glowing icy blue eyes were focused on him. Joaquin continued to get worried about her that he would shake her and caress her face while calling out to her.
