Hours passed and they finally reached their destination.
They climbed down of the carriages and looked around. The gate was another ruin of an old building, and all that was left was a platform with an arch, just like the one in the hidden garden in the mansion.
“Are all gates in this realm in ruins?” Zaren asked as he looked around.
“Not all, but most of it,” Joaquin answered.
“Is it me, or was the whole location different from the rest of the forest?” Zafira asked, and then everyone else looked around.
What Zafira meant was the while five meters radius around the gate is nothing but dead grass and trees. Like someone purposely killed the trees and grass around the gates. Everything had dried up and there was no hint of any green, just brown.
