December 30, 2022. Friday. David and Maureen had already returned from their trip from the USA, as a married couple. Their parents were all shocked when they told them about their wedding as well as the pregnancy.
Maureen's elders were happy, but David's parents were not. Maureen's family was even demanding that they also get married in a grand church wedding ceremony locally. But David and Maureen both refused, saying the wedding could wait until the baby was born already. Anyway, they are already married. The wedding ceremony they had in Las Vegas would also be recognized in Filipinas.
David's parents were disappointed that their only son did not follow the family traditions when it came to his marriage. Nonetheless, they felt relieved that Maureen had signed a pre-nuptial agreement.
