Later that evening, Raya, along with Damien and Royce, arrived at Charlie’s family Residence to attend the welcome home party dinner hosted by Charlie. Charlie’s mother helped out their grandparents in raising her. She grew up with Charlie and his two older sisters like true siblings. Raya’s father, wife and two sons were already there when they arrived.
Damien and Raya had brought a lot of food as well as presents for Charlie’s parents.
Charlie’s mother asked, “Why is there so much food, Raya?”
Raya said, “You can have them refrigerated and then eaten some other time within the week, Auntie. They included jars of different fermented food, jam, and marmalade that Aivi had in her pantry. She asked me to bring some, since Charlie mentioned that you and Uncle loved the ones he had brought
