Seven Months Later
I found myself standing in front of the closed office door. I had been standing there for a while. My instincts told me what this meeting would entail. I had been fighting it for as long as he could, but I sensed the presence of the pack Elders inside the Alpha's office alongside Kane.
For months, I had relentlessly searched for Carissa. I refused to hand over my title until she was found, but my hand would be forced. I wouldn't be able to delay the inevitable any longer.
