I stared at myself in the full-length mirror before me. It was finally here. I was about to be sworn in as the official Luna of the pack. I should have been sworn in half a year ago, but thanks to my father, everything was delayed.
No. He was no longer my father.
That irked me. It was embarrassing. I saw the side glances from a few of the pack members since the day of the hand-off ceremony. They were judging me.
The irony wasn’t lost on me. I had spent years openly mocking and defaming CC for being a bastard pup to the Beta family, and now here I was, labelled the same. The Goddess had a wicked sense of humour. I didn’t much care for it, to be frank.
At least I had Ryan and Matthew to support me. Although I couldn’t help but wonder if Ryan and I hadn’t already registered
