“Why are you saying these?” I shed the tears as I move towards him.

“I told you,” he looks at me painfully. “I can’t be the one who can promise you forever.” He immediately looks away when tears left his blue eyes. “You need a man who can love you and stand with you ‘til you’re sixty.” He inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. “You deserve to dance with a man until you are both old… baby that will never be me.” He sobbed and it felt like I am being stabbed.
Why is he shoving me away to somebody else? Does he think that my love is shallow? Is that how he thinks of me?
