“What did you just say?” Deacon questioned Parades.
“Did I stutter?” Parades mocked. Deacon held back a snarl at the disrespect. Evelyn put her arm across his chest to stop him from losing control of his anger.
“Inspector, why are you here?” Evelyn questioned.
“We’re looking for Daniel Brown.”
“Well then, it appears that you made the journey from Mountain Ash for no reason. Daniel Brown is no longer a member of this pack,” Evelyn stated.
“You misunderstand, Luna Evelyn. We know he was banished five years ago. News of any Alpha being banished by an elder travels quite quickly. We’re looking for him to bring charges against him for his crimes,” Parades explained.
