Royce found herself pacing the floor anxiously. Maquand mentioned that some things needed to be clarified but he did not accompany her back to her little apartment to further discuss what ‘some things’ were. Two days had come and gone and she was becoming even more antsy with every second that drove by.
“Are we regretting yet, this decision to move?” Katya hissed in Royce’s mind.
Rolling her eyes impatiently, Royce twiddled and squeezed against her fingers anxiously. “Not now, Katya.”
“You keep saying that. When exactly will be the time?”
“I don’t know!” Royce was becoming impatient with her wolf, and annoyed that maybe she was right. “But certainly not now. So just back off for a minute. Let me think!”
