The sound of the Marsh Haven’s alpha resonated through the field and into the room where Royce was being kept.
“Alpha?” Royce murmured with shock. She couldn’t believe what she’d heard. It couldn’t have been him. Right.
“Maquand! Face me! Now!”
Hearing his voice, there was a huge weight of worry released from her. That didn’t negate the feeling of confusion and resentment that she had for the news of who the alpha truly was to her. Still, she’d deal with that later. For the time being, Royce needed to focus on getting away from the toxic pack house of the Half Moon Pack and their alpha, Maquand Ruiz.
