Her heart just beat twice as fast and her knees felt weak. Nicholas was so close behind her that every time she breathed, she could feel the scent of cinnamon and mint from his warm breath against the nape of Josephine's neck.
Nicholas smiled and kissed Josephine's hair from behind. "Lots of cuts and bruises on your arms. I was worried you might have trouble in the shower. Come on in. I'll be waiting by the sink sending a few emails on my phone and if you're having trouble you can easily call me."
