I could tell that that was not the response that my father had been expecting to hear from me. It was obvious in the way that he pulled his face, his neck literally moving backwards in disbelief. It was almost like he was waiting for me to start laughing and to tell him that this was all nothing more than a joke, but even so, I could see the reality of the situation start to sink in.
He was slowly starting to realise that I was being serious and that I had no intention of leaving with him. Even if it meant that I was going to have to tell him that I had agreed to be engaged with Dae.
He was going to have the fit of the century when I broke the news to him, but perhaps this was the perfect opportunity to do so. Perhaps it would do me good to focus on getting that communicated to my fath
