When Dae finally stood up, I couldn't help the regret that suddenly flowed through my body. I knew that I had done what I had needed to do, what I had been supposed to, but there was nothing that I could do about it now. He was going to leave, and that was what I had wanted since the moment that he had come in here. I took a deep breath, watching him as he made his way to the door, and I literally felt myself beginning to bite down on my tongue in order to keep myself from telling him that he could stay. There was a part of me that knew that if I did so, he wouldn't be very happy with me. He would be bound to get upset from the very beginning, and I didn't think that I was going to be able to put up with that. I would make sure that I sent him away just as fast as I had asked him to stay
