Where was he?
My chest heaved up and down as I tried to regain control of my breathing. As it turned out, I wasn't as used to roaming this castle as I had convinced myself to be, because not only was I suffering as if I had just spent my time running a marathon, but it had all been in vain. Despite the amount of time that I had spent here with Dae, and on my own, I still hadn't been able to find him. It was almost like he had managed to disappear off of the face of the earth. Perhaps it was no his turn to escape to the Mainland, but I knew that Dae wouldn't do something like that. His loyalty to his Kingdom and Atlantis was a lot stronger than mine was.
