The next day, I took leave from work. I had hardly slept the previous night so I wasn't sure I could work the whole day. Thankfully Aadhi was already gone by the time I woke up in the afternoon.
There was no sign of him in the bedroom or the attached bathroom. He must have left early like he always did. And for the first time, I am happy to not find him around. I don't think I would like to see his face anytime soon.
My maid brings me the lunch to my room and shakes me up.
"Ma'am, I have got lunch for you. You skipped breakfast. You should at least have your lunch.." She tells me and places the plate on the side table.
