The Beast I had never been one to control my temper. They called me Beast for a reason. After the betrayal of my father, I had given the wildness inside of me free rain, until both animal and man were so closely blended that we are indeed one being. But I had to refrain from killing that wolf who had his hands on my mate and his eyes on her ass. I held my very nature down by the throat as we raged against each other. They sped off at such speed it took me a minute to fully catch up to where I was comfortable that I still had her in my sights and she was safe. Not for long though with the scent of destruction and blood on the air. Tinged with hints of vamp. Of course, my fierce mate was heading straight for it.
