Before the helicopter could land, it was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher right in the hull. The impact sent it sideways, while fire ate it up. The pilot’s distress signal (mayday call) was sent, but another RPG attack blew it into pieces. A part of the rotor hit the cabin roof, while the rest of the aircraft fell to the ground with a massive thud. Other smoky debris was scattered all over the place. Yuri and the others inside the cabin instinctively ducked, not expecting it to happen at all. The bodyguards outside readily took out their firearms and were even more alert. They hid at the side of the log cabin and nearby trees, knowing that the enemy or enemies came from the west side. But not long after the helicopter’s tragic end, the snow truck also met its own demise. I
