Why did I emerge from the shadows?
My comfy shade of loneliness,
Just to be quickly discomfited, on my first trial,
I should have known better and kept my disguise on,
My mind left me vulnerable in a battle field with love
I started a war, a big one
Against an experienced soldier yet I'm only but a toddler,
But now I've realized what love is,
Love is a fabrication only found in movie theaters,
Found in romantic novels,
A fabrication to be enjoyed in one sitting,
Love is dynamic,
Take every good moment seriously,
Tomorrow it may turn into hate,
Hate you can't escape,
My advice to you, stay under water,
Don't emerge like I did,
Enjoy the shade of freedom while it lasts,
Because love is coming your way,
