Duncan I tossed the reports onto the desk in front of me harder than necessary, the papers skidding and fanning out across the polished wood. The sharp sound echoed in the office, too loud in the otherwise quiet space. I dragged my hands through my hair and leaned back in my chair, staring at the ceiling for a long, useless second. Two weeks. It’s been two weeks since the attack, and we still had nothing. No name. No scent trail. No shadow to chase down and tear apart.
