He growled, then slammed his hands against the bars of his cell. His flesh sizzled as it met the silver, but he didn’t flinch. “It’s your fault that we’re in these cells, so let us out. You shouldn’t forget your place, omega b***h. We may be lenient if you do us this favor, but if you don’t…” His gaze raked my body as he trailed off. “Well, we’ll finally put you in the only place you deserve to be once we break free.”
I shuddered, but held my ground. “Why in the world would I ever help you? Do I look like I’ve lost my sense?” Purposefully, I turned my back on him to look around the rest of the cells at the other nine captives. I knew he’d take it as the insult it was, and he didn’t disappoint. I heard his flesh sizzle again as he raged against the bars.
