‘Alpha James, Alpha Stryker’s group has just come through the gate,’ the gate guard mindlinked me.
‘Excellent.’ I stood, moving around my desk to head downstairs to greet Alpha Brian. I have been looking forward to this part of this bloody mate ball—the part that lines the extra accounts I keep. ‘Convene at the front. Alpha Stryker’s group will be here momentarily,’ I linked Tobias, Amelia, and Claire.
I could already count the extra zeros added to my bank account once I’m through with this ball. I may have to be a bit more subtle than usual, thanks to the unexpected group from Crescent Moon, but I’m choosing to look at it as a challenge.
