Seren Beep. Beep. Beep. Drip. Drip. Drip. Thump. Thump. Thump. Once again, sound was the first thing I registered as I came back to consciousness. The second was an overwhelming scent of cypress and bayberries. Antiseptic was directly under that. I must be in a hospital somewhere. There was a trace of warm vanilla that smelled like Kayla.
