4 Desperate

Astarr feels so confused that night that it didn't let her sleep. Pabali baliktad sya sa kanyang higaan habang hawak ang kanyang mga labi. That kiss. That kiss made her insane, para syang masisiraan ng ulo. His eyes are so mesmerizing.

Alas tres na ng madaling araw ay gising parin sya, she walked out her room and went to the kitchen to get some water. While getting water from the fridge ay napatingin sya sa kanilang dining table and the past flashes on her mind.

"Mommy I want pancakes." Said the 7 year old Astarr. Her mom smiled sweetly at her and pat her head. She has the most precious smile and the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen.

"Okay baby, upo ka lang muna dyan, Mommy will cook pancakes for you." Yes mommy! The little Astarr said with her eyes sparkling and sat on the chair patiently waited for her mom and watched her back while she cooks.

"Eto na baby, mainit ha, blow it. I love you Starr." Said her mommy.

"I love you more Mommy."

Napansin na lang ni Astarr na nakaupo na sya sa mesa at umiiyak. She really becomes emotional sa tuwing maalala nya ang kanyang yumaong ina. If you're only here mom. Baka hindi ako magiging ganito. Baka hindi rin ako pagmamalupitan ni Dad. Naidayukdok nya ang kanyang ulo sa mesa at hindi na mapigilan ang humagulgol.

"Anak gising na. Alas nuwebe na." Nagising sya sa marahang yugyog at malamyos na tinig ni Manang Cely. Iniangat nya ang kanyang mukha dito at nagtaka sya ng magulat iyon. "Ay jusko po!" At animo'y gulat na gulat sa nakita. "Ano ba naman yan Starr. Ikay maligo nga at nakakatakot yang itsura mo. Natunaw ung eyeliner mo at mukha kang bampira." Natatawang sabi ni Manang Cely. Dali dali syang tumayo at tumakbo sa kanyang kwarto at dumiretso sa kanyang vanity table para mag salamin.

"Ay butike!" Napatalon na sabi nya ng makita ang itsura nya sa salamin, tama nga si Manang Cely. Kailangan ko ng maligo. I need to also find a job sa palagay ko. It's time to make a living. 'Di na ko aasa kina Daddy baka mapatay ko ang madrasta ko.

Astarr took a bath and put her make up on. Nag suot din sya ng desenteng damit para maghanap ng trabaho at hindi na ipapaalam ito sa kanyang ama at alam naman nyang hahadlangan lang sya. 

"Manang." Tawag ng dalaga sa kanyang tagapag alaga n huhugas ng pinggan.

"Ano yun Starr?" Tanong nito at saka bumaling sa kanya ng nakangiti. "Napaka ganda naman ng aming prinsesa." She said.

"Nang pautang naman po.. Babayaran ko pag naka sweldo na ako." Nahihiyang pakiusap ni Astarr kay Manang Cely at wala namang pag dadalawang isip na dumukot iyon sa kanyang bulsa.

"Galingan mo sa pag hahanap ng trabaho, alam kong kaya mo iyan Star!" Tuwang tuwa nyang sabi habang iniipit sa kamay ko ang $200 nya.

"Salamat Manang! The best ka talaga!" Sambit ng dalaga at saka yumakap sa ginang.

THOR POV

I don't know what made me do what I did yesterday ng hindi pansinin ni Astarr ang pagtawag ko sa kanya. It makes me feel more excited that my feet felt like they have their own brain and walked to the women's rest room. Her lips are cold and soft and tastes like strawberry. I don't know if it was her lipstick that made her lips taste that great. 

The only thing I just wonder is when she said that her dad doesn't allow her to go outside the house. So I called Mr. Buenaflor last night and see it for myself.

"Hello?"

"Hi Mr. Buenaflor? This is Thor Saunders." 

"Oh! The legend clan! What made you call me on my vacation?"

"I'm sorry if I bother you Sir. Will I just call back when you're available?" I asked.

"Oh no. No. I know you are calling for business and I am not going to turn it down." Then Astarr's father laughed.

"I will be straight with you Mr. Buenaflor. We want to get your Agency and do the construction for our hotel that will be built in Manhattan." I said confidently. Bahala na si Lee sigurado magagalit sya pag nalaman nyang kumuha pa ko ng Construction Agency. Mr. Buenaflor paused for a moment and did not answer. Then I heard him cleared his throat.

"It's my pleasure to sign the contract with you, Mr. Saunders." I heard him clear his throat again. "I am looking at your picture from google right now. You're one hell of a young and famous man. And you have a twin?" He said like he is interviewing me. 

"Yes Mr. Buenaflor." 

"All right, let's talk when we get back to New York, I have some few conditions for you before signing the contract." He said then hung up.

I hate that old man's guts. If not for Astarr I wont even bother calling him. I don't know what spell did Astarr cast me but it's one hell too strong. Looking at her sad eyes wants me to protect her. It wants me to make her happy, to make those eyes smile again.

I'm Cursed.

I looked at my wrist watch and realized I still have time to eat breakfast.

With all courage, bitbit ni Astarr ang kanyang resume and started walking through establishments. Since she graduated and majored in Bartending, she always wanted to become a bartender. ROQI. She always wanted to go there but that needs membership and only men can get their memberships, you just have to be the companion for the night. And she heard the boss is very handsome. May mas gugwapo pa ba kay Thor. Sabi ng mapag larong isip nya.

She walked at the door and opened it and reached out to one of the crew.

ASTARR

"Please wait here. I'll pass your resume to my boss. You're lucky he's here." Sabi ng lalaking nagngangalang Tom. Pero sure ako di sya lalaki.

I just nodded and watched him walk towards a secluded door saying Authorized Personnel Only. Kinabahan ako. I just hope he will accept my application. I waited for almost an hour. I don't know what the hell is he doing.

Maya maya ay lumabas na si Tom.

"Come here." He said so inayos ko na ang sarili ko and stand up. "He's in a good mood, you'll sure get it." Sabi pa nya. I just smiled at him and walked through the door.

Mahigpit kong hinawakan ang door knob bago ito pinihit, this is my first time applying kaya abot langit na nerbyos ang nararamdaman ko ngayon. I decided na pihitin na ito pabukas, di ako pwedeng magsayang ng oras dahil baka dumating na sila Dad.

"Good Morning!" Wika ng baritonong boses na hawak ang resume ko at nakatayo sa harapan ng glass window nya. Nakatalikod ito ngayon sakin pero kahit likod nito alam kong may itsura sya. I just don't know pero parang nakita ko na ang pigurang ito. "So tell me something about yourself that isn't here in this resume."

Natigagal ako at di makasagot. Shet anong nangyari sa pinag aralan ko. 

"I-I can accept whatever job you have available for me." I heard him sigh. Sa totoo lang I am hopeless. Nawala sa sarili ko kung ano dapat ang isasagot ko. 

"Alright, that's all I need. Come back tonight, 8PM sharp." Nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi nya.

"I'm sorry?" Sabi ko habang nakanganga pa. Lalo pang nanlaki ang awang ng mga labi ko at ang mga mata ko ng humarap sya. Thor?
