Anna found that she had a new symptom to her sickness. Stomach cramps and hunger. She rubbed her stomach as she stumbled from her bedroom into the dimly lit hallway. It was two in the morning, and Anna found she couldn’t sleep. She wanted to eat to stop the gnawing in her gut. She was slightly warm, but not feverish like in the past. She was a little dizzy but could manage to stay upright. Nausea plagued her, but Anna didn’t feel the need to vomit. It was as if her sickness was being kind to her, only remotely bothering her. But the stomach cramps were painful. Anna wiped the sweat from her forehead as she made her way down the steps, heading toward the kitchen. The thought of eating didn’t appeal to her, but she had to get something on her stomach. The hunger felt all consuming.
