Arthur really cared about her.
Anna knew she should have assumed that, but it was another thing entirely to hear the man sort of say it, in her own way.
It made her feel giddy, which was a tad absurd for a four-month pregnant half vampire, half human woman, but she wasn't about to sweat the details.
"And when I put my head on your shoulders, in wolf form, that's a mark of dominance."
"Really?" Anna balked. "I thought that was a wolf hug."
Arthur sighed, "I'm really surprised you didn't at least know this much."
"What? It's not like I'm a werewolf, okay. And have you ever watched an animated movie with animals in it? That's how they hug."
"No, I haven't."
"Okay, now you're just lying."
They were in the car, going… somewhere. Arthur had told her it was a surprise and so Anna decide
