Being a new vampire, the first thing Anna’s mind really registered was that the hall was filled with scent.
Not only did it smell like a variety of cooked dishes and different kind of drinks, but the people smelled too. Anna’s head spun as she was reminded vaguely of pack meetings, although those were indoors and not quite so much of an assault to her senses. If nothing else, she felt it adequate to blame her pregnancy for her sudden sensitivity.
