“Like I promised, I helped you get her,” Nina chirped as Edwin walked over and stood right in front of Sibyl. “Get out and don’t show your face again,” Edwin’s voice filled Sibyl’s ears, rooting her in place. He was real. He was actually there standing in front of her. He was not part of her imagination. “Of course. My work is done, I’m leaving the country with my child,” Nina remarked, flashing a victorious smile at Sibyl, whose face had lost all color.
