Gavin took all the breaths he could have and accepts what is bound to happen next.
Blood splattered on the ground and a body fell carelessly.
It wasn't Gavin's, it was Clarissa's. From somewhere far, a bullet shot her to her right chest near her heart. Then a dart of tranquilizer was shot on her back as soon as she fell on the floor.
Gavin got her blood splattered on his face as he was kneeling before her. Watched her fell down like a thing that cannot manage to soften her fall, her eyes were on him until it was closed from being sedated.
